as you all know, Bigcommerce is great because it has a built-in API where we would be able to export/import product information, so we can update automatically.
How the datafeed works:
DF_Products
DF_Nutrients (in csv or XML)
My Pricing list file
Take all 3 files and combine into a local database (preferably SQL or Access) using stock_code as the unique identifier. They CSV files themselves will never line up properly, this is why creating a database with relationships based on stock_code is the best way to build the database (which you will turn into a “feed” to upload into your cart)
Then we need to give the images unique names, which we can create an automation for. Go to the images folder and download all the images you need, when you save the images you want to rename them so they appear to be owned by the site.
Instead, I would rename the image something to the effect of: to enhance seo ratings
[login to view URL]
This will give you a unique file name that no one else will use. You should be able to create automations for these processes so that you are not doing them 1 by 1 as you said you were doing By the time you does this, you could have spent the time and money creating an automated process that will do this for you so that you can upload all 5000 products at once.
This is a process that the website will take your complete database file name and upload it and it should give you a mapping option so that you can tell the shopping cart you want certain fields from the database displayed on the website.
This is probably the most complex part of the process but i need someone to create these automations for me. But once they are done, I should be able to update the cart automatically everyday in less than an hour.
I need someone who can handle this and possibly some other datafeed integration processes for me in the future. I can offer any help and would like someone who takes great care in customer satisfaction
