Create a calendar that tracks off Time

Off Time Calendar project. MUST BE Coded in VB.net The Calendar program should allow all employees the ability to request time-off under various categories. The suggested current categories are vacation, sick leave, personal time, maternity leave, holidays, doctor appointments, court duty, and Misc.. If people are off for the day or for the period of time that is being observed, the calendar should display in each of its squares the people that are scheduled off for that day. If there is not enough space to show all personnel that are off, the user can click on the square and view a list of all people scheduled to be off for that time slot. The calendar should show normally only the off time for personnel within their specific company. Shared/support personnel should show up on calendars for all companies. Campus wide EXE's should have the ability to see each calendar and be able to see a total list of all people currently off and have the option also of seeing scheduled time-off for personnel for the preceding 30 days, 60 days, 90 day and 180 days out. This list should be viewable and printable. ## Deliverables The Program MUST be in VB.net - That means i do not want it in C, or pascal or oracle or anything else... I want it created in VB.net I desire to create this program by first creating the forms and navigation of the calendar program. I will provide a mockup of what we would like it to look like. This program will work with our current company wide system that manages our operations. Then we will do the actual coding for the logic, saving routines, etc Off Time Calendar project. The form would require the requester's name, requested type of time-off, a comment field, Date and time are automatically added. The requested time-off will then appear on a grid that is viewable by management to okay or deny the time-off. A record is saved for each request which includes information as to who requested the time-off - who approved it along with the date/ time stamp associated with each action. On the calendar, all time-off waiting for approval would be displayed in yellow. Approved time-off would appear in green. If the request is denied the entry is displayed in red on the requestor's calendar and the manager's calendar, but not on any of the other calendars. It will be a desktop executable type of program that will be integrated into our system as a separate module called up by a new button and menu option that we at our company will implement to launch this program that we are requesting you to create in VB.NET.** **The database should be ms-sql server.** do you have a database structure in mind? **YEs we do and/but we are also interested in your views as to the database structure.** Do you have a database already that I have to integrate with? **YEs we will provide a database of users that you would integrate with. Someone will create companies and their employees and assign type / permissions to them? **Yes this will be used by more than one company.. These companies are inter related and the table storing the data will have a field in it that stipulates the company that the records is for.** How do you have / how would you like the Db structured? **It should be MS sql server** Would you like 1 central Db or separate Db's for each 'company'? **1 database that has a field that identifies which company the record is for.** Exe's would see details of people across companies? They will see scheduled time off only for preceding periods and not periods ahead? **No they can see time off for any period in the system where they have data. The data is kept for ever....and ever.** Everyone who uses the application will login? That is the only way access permissions can be managed.
