It will be released in an open-source version, and in an Assembla-branded version. It will include some innovations that we are working on with the Apache subversion and TortoiseSVN teams, like automatic commit and update, and a new merge algorithm. We think that we will start with scplugin, an existing open source client – [login to view URL] . We want the following changes: Debug it so that it works with the most recent Macintosh OS Accept new SSL certificates. The certificate authority list is out of date Include EasySVN – automatic update and commit for file sharing and backup Make a new installer that includes configuration for hosted repositories Summarize the opportunity. Why is this a good team, project and role: Add some interesting new capabilities to tools that many people will use. Requirements, skills, experience, and availability: You must be a good Objective C and XML programmer Must have some experience with system level programming You must have experience as a user of source code management systems Compensation, terms, and duration of job: Work schedule and location are flexible as long as you meet the deadlines. You can work at home or in a remote office with a computer, broadband networking, and skype phone/IM service. We are willing to buy this job with a fixed price payment, including progress payments.
