This is a press release writing project for a client in the Flavor Ingredients industry. They manufacture all types of flavors for foods and beverages in multiple categories from sweet to savory and may sell these types of ingredients to food manufacturers like Kraft, Nestle, M&M Mars, etc. for example. Their audience is comprised mainly of product developers and marketing personnel looking for ingredients and the next trends to formulate line extensions or new product brands. As for the writer we would consider, we are preferably looking for someone who has experience in the food and beverage trade industry and experience writing press releases. For the project... This is a press release that will be distributed to trade publications such as Food Technology, Prepared Foods, Snack Foods and Wholesale Bakery, Manufacturing Confectioner, etc. We want to promote that our client attended the Sweets and Snacks Exposition this year ([login to view URL]), identified a bunch of trends related to snacks and sweets and has a presentation available on the topic. From the deck, it's okay to tease the trends by covering one of them in some detail (for example, you can talk about "combinations" as shown on slide 4). Note that there are no text details, you would need to create that part of it without mentioning specific product brands. The call to action should be to reach out to an account executive or someone else that we will identify once we release the project.
