I need help setting up two things: One, a template for tracking employee and contractor billable hours (by client). Two, a master sheet which populates its data from the time tracking templates respectively; specifically, the employee/contractor name, and the total hours billed during the period. Where I am struggling is in the preservation of data over multiple uses of the same template. What would be great is if each time the employee tracking template gets used, a new version of the master file is created as well. It's fine if the answer is, it'll be best to just make a new set each pay period, but any level of automation would be awesome.

Hi, Went through the project details. - Can track the employee and contractor billable hours by client from the tracking sheet. - We could have each clients timesheet consolidated for the month/period. - End of the period based on the Rate/Hour the amount to be paid for each employee for each client can be derived. - Have done similar employee hours tracking and also the Wage calculation. - Also all data could be in Master sheet for future reference. Hi there, First of all, I would like to ask how the template is updated, is it through google sheet or offline Excel, because the automation and the code that will be used will depend greatly on the above process. If your users are messing up your template each month then we can: -Lock cells so that data isn’t lost. -Create a “clear all data an create new template” button I use a similar document where I have managers input billable hours. I use this template in 70 locations across the US and Caribbean so it must be a robust document otherwise the users will break it. Also it is possible to add analytics to this AO that you can analyze how your money is spent in billable hours. But this is possibly our of scope for this project Thanks

Normalized/cleaned up lot of data, collected from various sources and made it easily usable using Excel.
