East London School of Music

I manage an Independent, Non-profit Classical Music Conservatoire in Hackney in East London, offering lessons to people of all ages and backgrounds who wish to explore the world of Classical Music and learn how to play an instrument/sing - but have been reluctant to pursue their dreams as they believe this type of music is only for the elite who can afford it. We are looking for additional help/funding to support families who wish to join our music school but due to financial difficulties they cannot afford it. Some of these families are not in full time work but learning classical music can assist with mental health and well-being. Some of our current students urgently need help to pay for their lessons and exam fees taking place Oct/Nov 2021. Their family circumstances have changed for the worst since the pandemic and they're struggling. We are currently using a church building for our site but we really need a building of our own ie like a school building. Instruments: we have a Pipe organ project which is almost complet, remaining cost £20K - we're looking for help to pay the organ builder, even if it's £10K. We would really appreciate a professional fund raiser to help raise £50K for our growing school, this would really help us immensely and the families we support. We do receive a small grant from our church sponsors which helps to a certain extent but sadly, it's not enough to support all of the needs of the school. Your help will be much appreciated.
