Consultant (Front End Web Developer) Minimum 3+ years of experience in Front-end development Duties & Responsibilities Create Web application front end as per design comps and information architecture. Proactively updated with latest design trend to enhance application. Integrate front-end application with the application business layer. Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility. Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop. Collect feedback from design and technical staff on Website development needs. Create conceptual diagrams, visual mock-ups, and manage detailed user interface specifications. Engage with PHP developer to develop back-end understanding and meet UI specs. Conduct usability testing to resolve interface problems. Engage in requirement specification process for new software functionality. Ensure design consistency with development standards and guidelines. Design and build UIs on any server platform in a team environment. Guide and maintain developer teams and best practices. Skills And Qualifications Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript expertise. Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS. Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery. Strong knowledge of AJAX. Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL. Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system. Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus. Proficient understanding of client-side image processing techniques like image upload, crop, resize etc. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools [GIT]. Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them. Depending on the specific case, a developer should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, ReactJS etc. Additional Knowledge : React, Python, Amazon Web Services.
