Required Technical Skill Set: - 5+ years of Java development experience with at least 2 years of experience with Spring framework and Liferay; - Good understanding OOP/OOD principles, Design patterns, RESTful services; - Excellent knowledge in Java EE/SE (JSP, Collections, Multithreaded Computing, JMS, JSR Portlet/Servlet API); - Strong SQL experience; - Front-end: o HTML/HTML5; o CSS/CSS3/SCSS; o JavaScript (ES6) o Ajax; o Alloy UI; o Velocity Templates; o Freemarker Templates; o AngularJS (is good to know); o D3.js (is good to know); o Bootstrap; o jQuery. - Back-end: o Hibernate; o Liferay Portal; o Liferay MVC framework; o Spring Framework. - Servers: o Wildfly/JBoss; o Tomcat. - Database: o MySQL; o Oracle. - Version Control: o Git. - OS: o Linux; o Windows. - IDE: o IntelliJ IDEA; o Eclipse; - Packagers: o Maven o npm; o webpack. Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role - Design and Development of Portal using Liferay out of box portlets, Liferay MVC Portlets, Spring MVC portlets depending on the requirement; - Designing the application as per the mock ups shared by the UI team by using the UI technologies like CSS, JS, Ajax, jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS/D3.js; - Managing the Portal using strong Administrative and Deployment skills of Liferay; - Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
