The Party App Project (Brief) What is it? The Party App is a website/app where users can list and view party & celebratory events. We will be focusing on a few major features • Push Notifications: Announces new events and more with specially targeted notifications delivered right to the user • Connect: Allow people connect with each other after a party, locally or randomly giving them the exclusivity to create and invite groups, share to groups, create pages post microblogs including pictures and video media on their page • Events: Keeping our community up to date with event listings happening in their area on the app, or integrate an iCal, Wordpress calendar or similar integration. • Community: Let our users, comment, share reviews, photos and engage with our app 24/7 • Social Networking: Allows our users share their experiences to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter • Map Integration: An integration of a google map or similar software, to show parties specific to that local area and give directions if possible. Pages: • Login Page: Login slash registration page for users before they enter the app • The events: This will list all events happening at a location with the aid of an integrated geolocator and the option for the users to select the location, and time. This page also allows users to comment, share and click a “Going” button, view calendar and a map integration. • Posting: This will only contain a word limit description, a header, an option to add images, collect fields such as: amount of people required, theme, charges, location, time, option to rent a venue, connect with DJ’s, and connect with party decorators, event planners and escorts • Viewed on the events page: A list view with a header, the description including the images if required, beneath in smaller texts the time, charges, location, tags (#food, alcohol, cooperate), “Going” and Comment buttons • Users profile: This will show the amount of parties and events thrown by user with reviews, pictures and personal media are private or public upon discretion or user, an option to follow and a direct messaging link • Social realm: Followers can share posts like micro-blogs, post pictures and short media, create groups of friends that they can share and invite to parties with a “invite group of friends” functional link and customize calendar. Party App’s services are broken down as follows: Party Listings:  House parties  Club events  Other like events Party Resources: • Venue listing & rentals for hosting a party • A page strictly for listing and view of party events • A page for the social media side where only “friends” can see posts and communicate with each other • It serves two audiences (Viewers & Posters) • Posters are the users who will be posting events and Viewers will be the people visiting the app to look for events happening in their area. • All users will have user accounts, Name, picture, school (in any), and location • Extensive options for Log-in; integration with google, facebook, twitter, email and phone number For event creators, this platform is a place for them to make their events public to the right audience, a specific audience that is specifically looking to attend these types of events. This platform includes features such as review calculations that allow them to manage their events. As explained above, the platform will have 2 user groups, and they will be able use the following functions of the platform: Event Creators: - Create & share events - Remove & approve guests - Direct message attendees - Hire DJs & Rent Venues - Keep an Account of past events & reviews Event Viewers: - View & share listings - Attend events - Message event creators - Review past events - View list of attending guests on an event
