Rework and complete MySQL database

We have been slowly putting together a database for one of our current side projects although even in design phase it is clearly more complicated than our programmers have the time and expertise to complete correctly. This is why we are in need to an expert in MySQL database design to take our current efforts and rework them into a masterpiece of database engineering as well as finish adding in further tables. We will be giving generalised information as to what is required for example: Users can register on site. activities should be able to be logged. Users can run, admin or be members of groups. Generic food items (eg. flour) as well as specific (eg. Acme plain flour 1kg bag) items will be stored which can then be used in other functions such as recipes personal household inventory group inventory shopping lists We then expect you to ask us questions as well as doing your own research to flesh that into a full design (for example the fact inventory items may have a useby date and non generic items might have a barcode) To be considered for this project please ensure you either provide an example of complex database design in your proposal or on your profile. Also please be aware that we will use innodb and correct usage of foreign keys is to be implemented unless you are able to give us some pretty good reasons not to. Solid php/html skills may see additional work although it is not required for this project. We will be happy to field any questions from potential winning bidders.
