IWrite me a doc-type transcoder that lets me pass along a URL to a server and gets back a reformatted page -- the server acts as a proxy, grabs the URL (say apple(dot)com) and takes the returned HTML code, re-formats the original code based on a few simple rules (delete JavaScript, WMV(dot)MOV/FLV, etc) and then returns the scrubbed reformatted code as a xhtml mobile valid page based on a template(dot) Rewrite all the links on the final page such that the original page links also pass through the proxy again too(dot)(dot)(dot)
Scale is important -- language is less important -- PHP, JAVA / JSP all good(dot)
See examples:
original website: www(dot)apple(dot)com
skweezer reformatted site: skweezer(dot)net/s(dot)aspx?q=www(dot)apple(dot)com
mowser reformatted site:: http://mowser(dot)com/web/www(dot)apple(dot)com
Can you do it ? If the proof of concept goes well then we'll trick this out and make something cool
