Convert HTML to Wordpress

Anamaya Wordpress 100% Conversion Job Description We need to finish converting this website: [login to view URL] to Wordpress. It has approximately 60 HTML files, and a single Wordpress template in which we have our blog. The blog is located here: [login to view URL] 1. Move the current wordpress blog from /wordpress/ to the root directory, and create 301 redirects for all the articles to the new location. 2. Create two new PAGE templates that look like these HTML pages: [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] (full width). A. The author must be able to select which PAGE template they want when they write the content. B. The left-hand navigation must be fully widgetized. 3. Search, Archive, and Category pages must automatically create an excerpt with 80 words for the Posts that are displayed. 4. The top menu (horizontally oriented, with the rainbow background) must be changed to work like the menu on this website: www.montezumabeach.com. It will have drop-down menus, and the user must be able to define this menu using the Wordpress “Custom Menus”. I will give you a new background graphic that the menu items will go on top of. 5. TOP GRAPHIC HEADER. This is currently done with FLASH. In the new wordpress system, we need to be able to define, (using custom fields?), a FLASH file for each page or post, as well as a STATIC background image that will be shown while the FLASH file is loaded, and in the case of mobile phones such as the I-phone that do not show Flash images. If we don't specify files in the custom fields, it will automatically use standard options for these graphics on the pages and posts. 6. LEFT-HAND NAVIGATION MENU – This must be built as a Widget that we can easily customize in the Widgets section of wordpress admin (not hard-coded). We should be able to make multiple menus like this if desired, and to be able to put HTML, graphics, etc inside. 7. All current HTML pages must be converted to Wordpress PAGES. A. 301 redirects from old HTML pages to new Wordpress pages must be put in place. B. All photos must be re-uploaded to the Wordpress format. Don't put them into the new pages using HTML/URLs from the current /images/ folder. An ALT TXT must be added to each one, in natural English, describing the photo. C. The FEATURED IMAGE must be defined in each PAGE/POST created. D. The SEO “title” and “description” must be defined. 8. FOOTER MENU – this must be able to be defined by the user in wordpress admin's CUSTOM MENUS section. Please remove the Facebook and Twitter links. I'll put those into the side menus using widgets myself later. 9. FACEBOOK LIKE/COMMENTS. I want ALL the templates to have two checkboxes on the right side for each POST or PAGE that can activate: A. Facebook Comments bar (as shown at the bottom of this page: [login to view URL]) B. Facebook LIKE box with faces ([login to view URL]) which will be in the same background/box design as the other one. This one would go on the top of the page, underneath the article's Title. The counter (# of likes) will be the same on every page/post on the website, which is currently around 2200 likes. Don't make a new counter for each page/post. 10. NO WORDPRESS COMMENTS SYSTEM. Completely remove this, we won't use them. 11. CATEGORY/TAG PAGES. I need to be able to add text and a photo to the top of all CATEGORY/TAG pages. 12. ONGOING WORK: You must do this project without affecting the current site, working there until it's approved, and then move it to our server. We use the website constantly and can't have it interrupted for even an hour while you work on this. We will pay 50% milestone but not release anything until it's 100% complete and approved.
