Hi There I'll use Autoscaling to bump the no of instance up or down based on Cloudwatch CPU metrics. The EC2 configuration will be loaded as an Launch Configuration, in order to make sure that the new instances launches with the predefined configurations. BTW I'm a super expert in AWS. Hello, as a brief I can explain how can I do this. I would create an internal script which is synced to AWS EC2 API and monitoring that instance. Once the trigger is enabled (CPU usage high) I would upgrade the machine via API.
