Code Wordpress to do something specific.

1. Send a HTML formatted email via Mandrill to users in a specific role who have 'favourited' a custom post type when a custom date stored with the post matches the current date. 2. Provide instructions on how to alter the html email. 3. If a paid user has favourited posts that share the same custom date then the posts are combined in the one email. 4. Many posts have a custom date of 31st December or 1st January of each year. We need to send emails out in a way where load isn't an issue. 5. We need a way to know if the emails are being sent and if everything is working properly or if something is wrong. 6. Documentation of the work is needed. If you can make this happen using existing plugins then all good. It must be robust however.
