I am looking for a freelancer to create a Business Directory Website with Reviews. The website will include both local and national businesses and will have a review system with both star ratings and written reviews. The search and filtering options will include both keyword search and category-based filtering.
Businesses can either claim or create a new listings. The database will be populated using data from this website:

It looks like they have a CSV file we can use to populate the database and perhaps we can get the website to also run a cron job to look at this spreadsheet weekly and add new providers into the database
In order for a business to claim their listing, the email address they use must match the one provided during the registration process.
Additionally, there should be an option for businesses to pay for advertising on the website. While basic listings will be free, businesses can opt for a monthly subscription (21 days) to have their listings displayed on the home page or at the top of search results. They can also choose to enhance their listings with features like highlighting or bold titles, similar to Gumtree's paid promotions.
Visitors should be able to leave reviews for providers using a 5-star rating system and tags, similar to Google reviews. In order to submit a review, users must log in using their Facebook, Google, or create an account. They can choose to leave reviews under their real name or a nickname. Users can edit reviews but can’t delete them. However I need the ability to remove any review.
The reviews show on that business pages profile to the public.
In search results it just shows how many stars out of 5 that particular company is.
The search functionality should include multiple filters to make it easy for users to find relevant providers. Businesses should be able to add more details to their profiles, as the NDIS website has limited information about each provider. I just need to work out exactly what more information I want to include on their profile listing if they choose to claim the listing or create a new listing.
In summary, we are creating a platform similar to Gumtree, but focused on being a business directory with customer reviews for professionals in the healthcare sector
The website must be UI/UX friendly, mobile and tablet capabilities are a must.
Ideal skills and experience for this job would include:
- Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with review systems
- Experience with search and filtering options
- Knowledge of SEO and how it applies to directory websites
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the client.
