I am looking to convert an old web based system which is currently written in Classic ASP (and some javascript) to PHP (with jquery / javascript etc). The software processes emails from POP3 accounts, assigns tracking numbers, enters them into a database and sends emails using SMTP. The successful candidate should have STRONG Classic ASP knowledge as well as STRONG PHP knowledge, coupled with MySQL best practices. This is NOT a [login to view URL] project. It is Classic ASP. The projects has 381KB of text in 126 files of Classic ASP. (fairly small files) 30KB of text in 5 Javascript files. 5KB of text in 1 CSS file (29 lines) This is a simple conversion from ASP to PHP. In addition: There are two scripts which loop continuously (currently written in VBScript .vbs file) which will need to be rewritten and a solution proposed for them to be able to run continuously as well. Currently the scripts insert the whole email into the database. In the conversion we need to extract the attachments from the body of the email and save them into a folder with a unique name. This name needs to be captured in a new table and be associated to the email that was inserted into the database (using the email unique id). anywhere in the application where the emails are being viewed, we need to be able to show the attachments and they need to be viewable. NDA needs to be signed. You will not be able to use this project as a reference to anyone. All code produced in the project remains the sole property of the project owner.
