Governments and Institutions

Governments' institutions are in shambles in Nigeria. For example,in one government secondary school in Edo State,there are only three full-time teachers excluding the [login to view URL] other staff are casuals. The government does not care. In one Federal Government polytechnic,the rector looms larger than life, suspsnding,terminating and dismissing senior staff at will at the slightest opportunity. The government does not care. The school has over thirty cases of wrongful sacks pending in various courts and government's money is being expended to prosecute those cases. One begins to wonder whether this is a private school or a government school. This is the trend nationwide that one can conclude that education in the country is in shambles.
