############################################################### "Title: Falling Demand and Impact on Electricity Prices in NEM The focus of this project is to understand the factors that have contributed to the falling electricity demand across the Australian NEM, and its impacts on wholesale electricity prices, network charges and the retail price of electricity. The report and presentation should discuss the following: 1. Analyse trends in the actual electricity demands and energy consumptions across the NEM over the last 5 - 7 years. Identify and discuss the factors that have caused this reduction in demand. 2. Identify and discuss the impacts of falling demands and increased renewable generation on the wholesale market price, generation participants, network prices and retail prices. 3. Discuss the longer term outlook and the likely consequences for the electricity industry – positive and negative. Explain the so called “death spiral” and suggest strategies for NEM participants to manage their associated risks." ############################################################### This project only requires to do research on first part of research area 1: Analyse trends in the actual electricity demands and energy consumptions across the NEM over the last 5 - 7 years. An Introduction for the whole report is also required. (The rest is completed by other people, not part of this project). The project requires doing research from government website such as (AEMO, NEM and so on), as well as journal articles, technical reports and so on. Graphs, tables, charts are required. Please use IEEE Citation Reference. Any Background/theory/literature are required in the report. No words limitation, 4-5 pages is expected, (including figures), however the more the better.
