Image processing with conformal maps in Matlab, Octave in a mathematical art context
1) Development of a template for image distortion with conformal maps using the Matlab document [login to view URL]
2) Embedding the template in a simple batch process that is processing all images in a folder; 3 nested for-loops with rotate and random crop; close orientation to a given, easy to understand, Perlmagick template
All design decisions should be made under the constrain of direct usability in Octave or easy portability to Octave (and possible C code generation in the future)
3) Use the template to implement a set of conformal maps given in [login to view URL] : 1/z^a, exp(z), cos(z), …, log(z)*(240/320-4*i)/(2*Pi), …
4) Porting to Octave (for comparison tests of processing times)
