Hello, I am a data scientist specialized in R programming and recognized as an "R programming expert" on Freelancer.com The type of prediction you want to make can be approached in two ways, we could simply predict the view count then check if it is superior to the threshold (2Mil in this case) or try to run a binary-like prediction model. Where 1 stands for exceeds threshold, and 0 for not exceeding. Both will be very similar and potentially the second will only be an extension of the first. But it is up to you depending on the formatting of the result you need. As for what models to use, that would depend on the data and whether it is a time series or not (in this case, whether it is daily, weekly, monthly or yearly will have an effect on the model choice). This I think is as far as I can go without looking at the data and knowing more about the goal of this analysis. I am an expert in Artificial Neural Networks in R. I'm currently finishing an MS in Financial Engineering. I would love to work on your project. I propose to use a neural network package in R. Your training data set will be fed to this neural network. The output is a classification of the predicted viewcounts for the test videos. We can have 2 or 3 classification ranges for the viewcounts around your threshold of 2M viewcounts. We can then use the confusionmatrix function to see the prediction accuracy of the model. We can vary the input factors to tweak the model to achieve the highest prediction accuracy. I can definitely do your project. I'm not charging much but I hope you can write a review for me.
