we have a collection of XML files (see q/*.xml) all adhering to the [login to view URL] schema, see the output of:
ls -1 q/*.xml | xargs xmllint --schema [login to view URL] --noout
we currently generate a HTML view of the same data (see w/*.html), but that is ugly and does not use CSS for formatting
we need an XSL transformation to convert the xmls to HTML with:
- a horizontally-split two-frame view
- left pane: drillable, clickable treeview of the models and submodels
- right pane tabbed (similar to what we have today) view of strings, integers and quantities for the currently selected object in the treeview
- prev/next/up navigation buttons
requirements:
- keep a decentralized structure of small HTML files rather than a single HTML file (an exception could be the treeview pane)
- the resulting HTML should validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict on [login to view URL]
- compatible with Webkit, IE8+ and Firefox 20+
- use CSS for formatting
for the convenience of generating the treeview by transformation of a single XML file rather than picking up information spread around different XML files, we will provide a [login to view URL] file according to your specification
if you plan to include any third-party javascript libraries, please tell us when you place the bid so that we can review it from the point of view of the license, dependencies and technology
Professional developer at your service. I have plenty of experience with XSLT, so i can easily get this job done. I would most like use jquery and some jquery tree view plugin for this purpose (don't worry jquery is MIT license and the other would be gnu/gpl compatible). If you have any question or more information, please don't hesitate to contact me by private message. I'm looking forward to our cooperation.
