Given a sound file with 15 words with no background noise, create five sound files with different levels of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The SNR levels should be 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. For example, if the average maximum volume level of the provided 15 words (AVML15) is 25 dB, create sound files where the white noise is equal to 1) 25 dB (0 dB SNR or 0% SNR), 2) 20 dB (+5 dB SNR or 20% SNR), 3) 15 dB (+10 dB SNR or 40% SNR), 4) 10 dB (+15 dB SNR or 60% SNR), and 5) 5 dB (+20 dB SNR or 80% SNR). A sample file is included of sentences with increasing SNR levels ([login to view URL]). The sample file differs from the deliverables because it has sentences rather than individual words and you will only provide white noise files rather than the merged word/white noise file. The 15 words are provided ([login to view URL])
## Deliverables
All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No 3rd party components unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement).
After determining the average maximum volume level of the provided 15 words (AMVL15): 1. Create a white noise sound file where the SNR is 0% of AMVL15 (i.e. white noise volume is equal to the speech) 2. Create a white noise sound file where the SNR is 20% of AMVL15 3. Create a white noise sound file where the SNR is 40% of AMVL15 4. Create a white noise sound file where the SNR is 60% of AMVL15 5. Create a white noise sound file where the SNR is 80% of AMVL15 6. The length of each white noise file will be 15 seconds 7. The white noise files will be in an MP3 format (16-bit, 44100 Hz)
