I have been developing enterprise desktop applications in .NET for 5 years. Currently I personally develop desktop client for my startup as well. I use latest IDE (VS 2015) and have a considerably high work rate(less typing more hot keys). I also have previously worked in may different domains and hence most of the code needed will be found already decreasing the number of working hours you project takes to complete.
