Desktop Backup Application using Kopia and MinIO

We are looking to hire a skilled and experienced Development Team/Agency to collaborate on the creation of a robust desktop backup application. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with our internal team to translate the SOW's features and requirements into a fully functional and high-performing desktop backup application. Develop and integrate the frontend and backend components of the application, including the business website, admin backend, desktop client, and web-based user panel. Implement advanced functionalities such as user authentication, backup setup, restore options, storage usage monitoring, notifications, error handling, and backup history/logs. Integrate and configure third-party services such as MinIO, Kopia, Node.js, Express, React, MongoDB/PostgreSQL, microservices architecture, Keycloak, Electron, Prometheus, and Grafana. Ensure the highest level of data security and encryption standards throughout the application. Collaborate on designing a user-centric and intuitive UI/UX that caters to a seamless user experience across different devices and screen sizes. Integrate error reporting and analytics tools to provide valuable insights into user behavior and application performance. Optimize the application's scalability, performance, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Contribute to the development of comprehensive documentation, including installation guides, user manuals, and API documentation. Gather user feedback and iterate on the application to continuously improve user satisfaction and address any issues that may arise. Requirements: A strong portfolio showcasing successful desktop application projects with a user-centric approach. Proficiency in a range of technologies, including but not limited to Node.js, Express, React, MongoDB/PostgreSQL, Electron, Keycloak, Prometheus, and Grafana. A deep understanding of data security, encryption, and privacy standards. Proven experience in microservices architecture, REST APIs, and third-party integrations. Demonstrated expertise in implementing automated testing practices to ensure code quality. Familiarity with version control using platforms like GitHub. Proven problem-solving skills and an eye for detail in UI/UX design. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with our internal team and provide regular updates. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
