Hi,
I would like to build a fluorescent imager and be able to edit the input parameters via script so I can optimize the process. Essentially a 2D stage with a camera to capture images and a TEC to heat and cool. I would like this built on a RasberryPi but it is not required.
The core functions that are needed:
1) "handler", 2D stage +servo or solenoid , ~18"x6", accuracy +/- ~1/32. Need to be able to set times and locations for the handler to move.
2) 2 TEC (thermoelectric controller), need to be able to set the temperature of the TECs.
3) 2D stage "camera stage" ~6"x6" with greater than 100um accuracy. This stage will be holding a camera and be acquiring images of ~6"x6" area. I will need to be able to have the fuction to change how the images are acquired, the distance between them. There will also be a servo on this to rotate a lense in and out of position for capturing different colors of images.
4) Camera, will be using the Raspberry Pi Camera port to house a camera, and acquire and sitch images of this area into one. I can do most of the image part, but if you are good at optics that is a major plus.
Workflow:
The system will work as follows: "plate" will go on the TEC (#2), TEC will change temperatures ~40 times, the "handler" (#1) will move the "plate" to the Camera stage (#4), the camera will acquire sequential images of the "plate" . These images will then be stitched together on the raspberry pi, I can figure this part out but
Key things I need control of: temperature and time on the TECs, handler positions at given time or sequence of processes, camera acquisition parameters: distance between images and processes, area/location to acquire, servo location (this will hold an optical filter).
I will be running this process many times to optimize a workflow.
I am looking for someone who I can work with to build this on a Rasberry Pi or other controller if you recommend it (I greatly prefer raspberry pi). After this project is "complete" I would like to bring this person on in a full time capacity, after I have received funding. This project will be the proof of concept for an idea to get further funding.
The ideal candidate will have recommendations for the linear stages, TECs, and if possible but by no means required optics.
Most likely for this budget you are overseas, I can either directly pay you to get parts or I can ship them from the US.
Thanks,
Jake
Hello,
I understand you are looking for someone to build a fluorescent imager on a RasberryPi and be able to edit the input parameters via script so that you can optimize the process.
I am a team of software developers who can provide services 24/7. We have experience in a range of skills such as firmware, image processing, raspberry pi and more. We would be the best fit for this project because we have the necessary skills and experience to deliver high quality results quickly.
We also have experience working with linear stages, thermoelectric controllers and optics which would be helpful for this project.
We would be happy to discuss further how we can help bring your project from concept into reality. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like more information about our services.
