Hello, First of all this project is extremmely interesting to me! It is so interesting to me that I even bought plus membership just in order to bid :) This is because currently I work for four years in technical department in big European company which produces three phase electric motors and industrial fans (mainly for distribution transformer cooling). Recently I started to work as team leader and main research engineer so you can expect complete dedication. I have lot of experience in electric motor field so I know all possible ways of electric motor control. Also I am good in electronic field so I think that this is perfect combination for your project. I created few electronics projects for aquarium automation and I currently work on design for data aquisition system which is compatible with industrial protocols. I have lot of basic electronic components on stock so I can breadboard some parts of design. I have never designed electronics for VSD but as I said I have experience in electronics and I know how to use all necessary programs/tools in order to design final PCB. And my knowledge of electric motors is big big plus.
