Customized Electronic Map Production

1. We are interested in finding one or several bidders that can produce for us a set of maps. 2. These maps should comply with ESRI standards and be delivered in shapefile format. 3. Furthermore, they should be georeferenced using IGN Lambert 93. 4. These maps should be thought of as ‘customized’ because they are likely to be subdivided into non-administrative or governmental subterritories. 5. Each set of maps actually contain 2 distinct maps (i.e. 2 shapefiles). Each of the 2 distinct maps contains a subdivision into smaller territories. 6. These territories represent a hierarchy (e.g. State is a territory on the 1st map and county is a territory of a lower hierarchy on the 2nd map). 7. Due to this hierarchy, the 2 maps must be consistent with each other. The 2 maps represent different levels in a hierarchy. An example of maps containing a hierarchical relationship is say a map of the different states in USA and a map of the different counties in USA. 8. To help you produce these maps, we will provide the overall map contour (a shapefile) and a list of points and their associated characteristics. Please see the attached file for more information. 9. We’ll eventually have tens of maps to produce and would like to shortlist a few partners that can help us produce them as and when needed. This bid is therefore a ‘test’ bid for shortlisting purposes. 10. Multiple bidders may be retained. 11. To complete this assignment successfully, a bidder must show that he/she is able to produce ‘clean’ maps. Bidders that have completed this assignment successfully are shortlisted for further assignment. 13. Your bid should include cost estimate and estimated elapsed time for completion. ## Deliverables 1) 2 map shapefiles in ESRI format using IGN Lambert 93 georeference. 2 Excel files containing the quality assurance metrics. The map files should be free from any third party royalty. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP, Vista. Map files can be read successfully by ArcGis Explorer or similar tool.
