QUESTION: In the context of International Project Management, you are to CRITICALLY ANALYSE any international project (stacker crane installtion at air port) with respect to the project environment, the organisation structure, stakeholder analysis, communications management and the critical success or failure of the project accordingly. The assignment consists of numerous tasks which are to be adhered strictly. The required tasks and marks allocated are explained below: INSTRUCTIONS: TASK I: Executive Summary A formal executive summary with the details on the reason in preparing the report, structure of the report, key findings and conclusions and with the major recommendations are provided. Table of Content Full comprehensive listing with the corresponding numbers of executive summary, introduction, main sections, references, individual appendices and full listing of all the figures and tables in the report. (Executive Summary and Table of Content will not form part of the assignment word count) [5 marks] TASK II: Critical Area of Analysis You are required to critically analyze a project of your choice. The criterion is international in nature. The report MUST provide the following with relevant literatures cited to support or justify: • Introduction (5 marks) Briefly state objective of report prepared, introduce the project of your choice being analyzed and the areas address. The information provided on the project should be sufficient to present your case and/or can be attached as an appendix. • Project Critical Analysis ( 60 marks) The COMPULSORY key areas and/or issues for the project critical analysis will cover the following:  Background of Project  Project Environment  Organization Structure  Stakeholder Analysis  Communication Management  Critical Success Factors/ Failure TASK III: Conclusion & Recommendations • Conclusion to be provided comprising the findings of the project analysis performed. Discussing the ‘lesson learned’ with regard to the importance of the findings that may be use for future projects. • Recommendations to be provided corresponding to the specific conclusions and lessons learned. [10 marks] SUPPORTING CRITERIA & MATERIALS: • Overall presentation of report, language and writing skills and effective usage of tables and figures. • Research and academic approach on the evidence of knowledge of study materials and evidence of research to support argument. • Reference to be provided with comprehensive list on full details of all citations used in the body of the assignment. There should be not less than 15 references of which can be cited more than once. • Appendices should be attached to the report after the list of references and numbered numerically in sequences e.g. Appendix 1, Appendix 2 and etc. (Reference and Appendix will not be considered as part of the word count) [20 marks]
