Provide King County WA, USA permiting division goverment offices a wetland report of our property from a qualfied wetlands Ecological engineer (See attch for definition of qualified and what the county requires) in order for us to get approval to install a larger septic tank on our property in the Seattle, WA area. The consulant must generate any documentation the permit office requires. Must be able to walk on the property which is in the Seattle, WA area.
To complete this CAD, I need to provide King county
with a wetland report by a qualified private wetland consultant. Even if the consultant determines that
wetlands or streams are not on or near the property the report will need to justify that. Under
King County Critical Areas Code (KCC) 21A.24, environmentally sensitive lands and shorelines
are protected from degradation from improper development.

Qalifications: Wetland Professional:
Wetland professionals will walk your property to observe plants, soils, and evidence of the
presence of surface water or saturated soils. They will research background information on soils,
vegetation, and hydrology. They can flag the edge of wetlands, rate them to determine the width
of protective buffers, and conduct functional assessments and impact analyses.
Academic Background: Minimum Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in ecology,
biology, botany, hydrology, soil science, environmental science, resource management, or related
field.
Professional Work Experience in Field:
Minimum five years full-time work experience including
delineating wetlands, rating wetlands, preparing wetland reports, assessing impacts, and
developing and implementing mitigation plans. Training and experience using the 1987 Corps of
Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and the 2010 Regional Supplement. Training and
experience using the Department of Ecology’s Wetland Rating System for Western Washington
(both the 2004 and the 2014 version). Additional continuing education / training programs such as
the University of Washington Wetland Science and Management Certificate Program are
desirable.
