would like to have a short book written about struggling with Dementia on my own. I am married but do not share my struggle with my family or any therapists. the book will outline memory loss, confusion, forgetfulness while i try to go about my daily life as if nothing were wrong. Daily activities include shopping., playing 8 ball pool, cleaning, going to hockey games. I forget schedules and appointments. I struggle with remembering dates. When playing pool my concentration goes from laser sharp in one moment to nothing in an instant. leading to frustration, self doubt . I've lost my drivers license and need to rely on friends and family to get me places. I went from not needing help for anything to needing help every day. I suffer from muscle fatigue slow speech and sometime I've been told I just look lost or empty. I struggle to carry a conversation and often just answer others with one word answers. some topics for the book can include. -my independence" should i let them know? -What color am I? struggling with short term memory loss and billiards. -I thought I did ok: how i lost my license. simple story about a short driving test in which I parked the middle of an intersection, failed to stop at a stop sign. almost hit a pedestrian, -I dont want to put anything away...because i know where it is right now. -
