PeopleWare - "Software for people, not machines." Representative: Daniel PROJECT OVERVIEW: This project is a multi-player RPG for Android and PC. We are in need of a stylized graphic artist to design fantasy/teen concepts for a number of different tasks. [Characters] There are 21 different types of playable characters, a dozen story line characters, and a flexible number of common NPCs. Each one of these, save the story line, will require both a boy and girl version of a shoulders-up portrait. Each of the 21 playable characters will also require a full body canvas with both the male and female counterparts included. Portraits approximate size: 64x64 price per unit: $4 Full Counterpart Character Illustration approximate size: 128x256 price per unit: $14 Total project segment budget: $540 [In-Game Character] There will be one, unclothed male and one female sprite, each with seven body parts: head, body, one bisected arm, one bisected leg, one foot. The character will also have an array of up to 20 hair styles Male and Female In-Game Sprite Parts approximate size: mixed price per unit: $2 Hairs approximate size: 32x32 price per unit: $2 Total project segment budget: $70 [Icons and Items] There will be roughly 210 skills and 200 items in the game, which all must be represented by an icon. Half of the skill and more than half of the item icons may be reused to some degree due to their relationship in the game. For example, all plate armors must look somewhat alike. Many skills are also related in this way. Skill Icons approximate size: 32x32 price per unit: $1 Item Icons approximate size: 64x64 price per unit: $1 Total project segment budget: $410 [Backgrounds] There will be a growing number of illustrated level backgrounds to serve as the basis for the game. The perspective of these drawings will have their horizontal vanishing point set around 15% from the top to give the camera's eye an angled view. There will be themes, each requiring several matching backgrounds, in order to help with the mood and fit the setting of the story. Backgrounds approximate size: 1024x256 (panoramic) price per unit: negotiable Total project segment budget: $400 [Interface Elements] Tasks in this segment include about 15 boxes, buttons, bars, indicators, and an overall structured frame to fit the GUI elements. It is important to have a simple, matching style in this task. Please apply for specific segments of the project in relation to your highest interest. Note: All if you feel that the entire project may be completed in connection with monolithic style. Successful applicants will be required to sign a mutually agreed upon working contract, provided by the employer, including a photocopy of the applicant's drivers license. The applicant will also be sent a post-project completion contract at the end of the term to verify integrity and transfer of copyright ownership. This is a long term project with future potential.
