Hospital Performance Enhancements

I have no experience in working in hospitals or medical background but I work for general administration that runs many hospitals. I wanted to present a research on strategic management in healthcare institutions which can readily be done by the use of different textual resources. the only thing i'm missing here is knowing how to practically apply the different methods and techniques that are currently used in measuring and managing performance and quality in hospitals. For that I need a private lessons with someone who is experienced in this field.
