What I have currently is 5 different devices in the field which poll Modbus data. They each poll pressure data every 30 sec. These devices (netbiter webscada) have the ability to send the data via FTP, SNMP, Email, Etc. What I would like is a program that I could place on my computer at the office that would get the data from a specific directory (Like I was to set the device to FTP the dataset every hour) Then compile it or append it so when we want to acces the data it is all put together. This would be somewhat like SCADA. The device cuurently creates a CSV file and sends it to a proprietary server provided by the manufacturer. ([login to view URL]) Is this something that can be done easily?
It is better if you could redirect your scada device FTP service to your current FTP system or your current customized FTP service. I may help you to setting up the device, but I need to know the series of your current device. The setting can be done over RS-232 connection or telnet service, if you use the current last version of scada device. Let me know.
Hi.
We have a lot of experience in automation and scada systems. We offer you our DataLogger JagusDataLogger, that do the work that you need ( device-modbus-presentation, for 5 variables is $350 ). Or we can develop a custom system, so you can keep using netbiter.
Hi, I'm one of developers of open source scada which you can find at http://www.free-scada.org. But as I understood you need in some custom solution, in any case we have a lot experience in SCADA and automation applications. So can you provide more detailed description on your task?
Regards Alex.
