Hi, I'm a linux system administrator for a network of 400 linux server,50 solaris system, and 100 Aix server (administration,configuration and mantenance). My bid is hight because I don't understand you project. Have you already chose the software or I have to discover the software to implement this project? I have to install 1000 client? Implementing monitoring or backup? I can connect to every client from a server by ssh (more better for make massive configuration) or I have to connect with teamviewer for every client( more difficult and slow to implement)? I know how to implement this but I don't know how is the project. What is the expiration of the job? The budget is not a problem we can find an agreement. I'm available for further questions. Hello, your project is interesting but it will need proper planing. It is not clear how you receive your satellite streams and how easy you can forward them to streaming servers. In short, this can be done following way: your DVB receiver sends streams to linux streaming servers located in data center with high and fast bandwidth, those servers then stream to your clients. Please note that for 1000 users you will need at least 1.5Gbps and this is for SD quality. HD quality will require more, so most likely one streaming server will not be enough (growing must be also considered). At the end the main bottleneck will be bandwidth and content caching. Also note that streaming servers will need support, software must be always kept updated and secure. To sum up, this project can be done, but there are a lot of additional details required to provide proper quote and timeline.
