SQL Database Retrival for a Drupal Site

Greetings, Require someone to evaluate the damage and possible retrieval of my MySQL database from my Drupal Hosting. My hosting support team refuse to offer help because as you know Drupal require ROOT access. They calmed I am on my own... can someone evaluate if this job can be done? Or tell if I have lost everything? Detail: We suspect someone hacked the site and made things unstable. This pending issue arise when I try to transfer to another Hosting service.
