I also design HA and redundacy with Mikrotik and other vendors. Which Mikrotik Routerboard are you currently using and which release OS are you using, how many clients and traffic at peak. Hi Employer, I would like to know whether you have the IPv6 addressing scheme designed with you so that we don't have put brains on it. Also do you have multiple ISP links for load balancing and failover. Do you have static IP (IPv4) from ISP or dynamic? Is there a compatibility check done between Mikrotik and Ubiquiti devices for p2p..The extension of Wifi is easy and not worry on that part. If you could share a Network architecture if you have any and IP address scheme would be helpful to understand the requirement. Share the Mikrotik and Ubiquiti model number.

My mind already had your infrastructure architecture envisioned before I finished reading the Headline. I have 10 years experience with MikroTik Routers and MikroTik Routerboard used as WAP’s. I can say, right away (respectfully) that your end goal is achievable but you’re overthinking your approach. This was cause you to get lost in rabbit holes and fixing routes due to incompatibilities. On that note, I propose a fully functioning and stable OSPF network. I will gather current router configs, gather business and network requirements, and provide clear and definitive documentation. I propose that this will take 3-5 days to complete.
