Bulk file renaming utility

I need a utility that will allow bulk files to be renamed. We often import thousands of files from our digital cameras and they are all saved with routinw names DSC000XXX. I want a tool that can rename some or all files in a directory (with an option for including subdirectories) based on a wildcard match. So, for example, I might want to change all files starting with DSC001 with "MondayPhotos" and have the rest of the filenames preserved (so DSC001001 becomes MondayPhotos001, and so on). Or, have numbering created automatically as an option (so "MondayPhotos900", "MondayPhotos901" etc). It should allow numbering to start with anything. If you take a look at hte software at [[login to view URL]][1] that's the sort of thing I need. All the features in filerenamer need to be there... I would prefer VC#.NET but am open to options. Thanks! Added: I should make it clear that the renaming will be based on some substring in the original file name (such as "DSC000" or any other substring). The new filename should allow replacement of that substring with another string (so DSC0001 could be DogPhoto001, DSC0002 would be DogPhoto002, and so on).
