I have a database file (uncommon format) that I want to import into a visual basic project. (sample attached) I am looking for a clear explanation as to what the various parts of the data file are. Once I understand it, I will be able to write some VB to import it into my program.
## Deliverables
BASIC DESCRIPTION: I have a data file (uncommon format) (a simple sample attached). I need detailed information about this file so that I can write a VB routine that will enable me to import the data into a visual basic project. (sample attached) SAMPLE DESCRIPTION: The sample database file '[login to view URL]' has two records with 21 fields in each (Record-1 has fields 'Field1' to 'Field21') (Record-2 has fields 'FieldA' to 'FieldV') I am looking for a clear explanation as to what the various parts of the data file are. Some parts of the data file are obvious and can be seen with an ascii editor. ONE --- The sample database data file contains two records with 21 fields. I would need a clear explanation, so that I can write a suitable VB import routine. I need to be able to clearly identify exactly where a field starts and finishes. (additional sample data files could be supplied if required) TWO --- I need a clear explanation about the other parts of the file. (I suspect that this part of the data file could be an index of the data?) Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
