Virtual Car Show for phpBB

I would like to request a MOD that would allow a phpBB forum to host a "virtual car show", where participants could enter their cars and then chat (voice or text) with others at the show about cars and anything else. Also it would be nice to be able to award a "best in show" image of a trophy or something like that. This whole concept could be adapted to an endless number of other items besides cars too. I'm very eager to get this MOD underway and I'll do anything I can to make that happen. I don't know much about php coding so that is where I require the help. Here's a more detailed description of what I'm looking for. Part of this MOD is already done, it is called the phpBB Garage (found oh [login to view URL]), and we could add on to that to create this. This would mainly involve the following parts: -> When looking at your car in the garage, there would be a button to "register your car for the ___ show on ___ -> On the Registration Page you could change any info on the car as well as add additional comments, then submit. You would automatically recieve an email reminding you about the show 1 day before it takes place -> During the show you would go to the Car Show Page, ie /forum/[login to view URL], where you could view everyone's cars (who has registered) with a picture on top and stats below. Also there would be a button to "talk with {username}" so that you could chat. Also could this page be playing music in the background, maybe from a streaming radio station, configurably from the ACP? -> In this Chat window you can chat privately with just one person or a group of people. Your avatar would be displayed next to each comment you make. Also the cars of the people you are chatting with would be displayed on the right. You could do text chat as well as voice chat I've setup a demo of this here: [login to view URL] ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 3)Complete compatibility with my existing phpBB forum and the phpBB Garage MOD 4)A Registration Page link when viewing any of your cars in the phpBB Garage, this button will also show the date of the show, as set in the Admin Panel 5) A Registration page, complete with your car information, picture, and the ability to edit the data accordingly. Also the car info should be presented in a typical layout, which I will provide. The Registration page will also show the date of the show. Once submitted the user will recieve an email reminding them of the show one day before it takes place 6) The Virtual Car Show page will include the vehicles of all the participants, as well as let the admin add vehicles from the Admin Panel. This page will display all of the cars with pictures, info under the pictures, below that a link to talk with that user (chat, and also a "vote as best in show" button for each vehicle. Clicking on the vehicle will take you to that vehicle's profile and larger photos. 7) The Admin Panel will contain an option to play a streaming or uploaded audio file on the Virtual Car Show Page 8) The Virtual Car Show Page can be sorted to show cars by make, model, year, random, or other fashions 9) The Chat Page will include both private rooms (2+ users, invite only by room starter or admin) as well as a public room, which everyone can access. The Chat Page will also include the user's avatar next to each line of chat that they post. It will be displayed in an easy to read box. You will be able to select other users to invite to chat in a box, as well as invite users to voice chat. The cars of the users with whom you are currently chatting will be displayed on the page as well, click on them for details 10) Guests can also join chats, configurable in the Admin Panel ## Platform Windows 98SE, 2000, XP, Linux, Mac OS X 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 in all 3.0+ versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera as well as 1.0+ versions of Firefox.
