Hello, Here is a rough outline of what we need. We have installed and customized a Zencart site that sells a booklet. I want to offer the customer a simple interactive user interface to custom design the booklet's cover. A custom booklet cover typically includes a logo image usually in the center of the cover, and several lines of custom text. A customer can choose from pre-existing logo image or upload an own logo image. Based on how the cover is printed (digitally printed or foil stamped) different margin setting are configured. Also different color choices, for font and/or image. The text a customer can enter is bi-lingual English and Hebrew, although other languages could be supported in the future (perhaps as Russian), and a selection of fonts is available. To help enter Hebrew text a simple Hebrew keyboard is offered. Ideally, the customer can interact with the graphic layout, such as select the logo or line of text and then drag it up or down to position it, resize it, change fonts, or edit the text, using his/her own keyboard or the Hebrew keyboard and/or other UI controls and/or pop-up menus. The user interface for cover design must be integrated into the Zencart booklet purchase and fulfillment workflow. For example, a customer after selecting the booklet to purchase, can specify a custom cover. The customer can later on review his orders, and modify specified custom covers. Once the order is submitted, the customer obtains a copy of the designed cover as an image file (by email). At this point in time the cover can not be changed anymore, unless specifically unlocked by the administrator. The image and entered data (lines of text and logo choice) is also stored together with the order and sent to a 3rd party email address (the printer, who prints the cover) together with relevant order information. Tentatively, I am envisioning that the program is implemented using Java script and PhP, unless you have a better suggestion.
