Ridge Regression, SVM, and Model Selection

Hello, I'm a Computer Engineer and a masters degree student. My research area is data science and machine learning. I've implemented many machine learning projects, such as predicting spammer users on twitter, predicting drug effectiveness on cancer cells, using python and libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas. Hi! I'm a 3rd year electrical engineering student that has been moving my focus area to computer vision and machine learning for the last year! Right now I'm doing courses in machine learning at the Technical University of Denmark. In the beginning of the course we get to choose our preferred programming language, here I choose Python. I love programming bigger projects in Python and can show some of my projects in machine learning in Python. I'm experienced with the sic-kit toolbox in Python and have done a lot of regression analysis/problems, classification problems, decision trees, SVM's, validity checking and many more. My understanding is that your project requires development work in Python for building functions to perform SVM, Ridge Regression along with model selection using appropriate loss function which will require hyper parameter search and cross validation. This is a standard machine learning task and I have significant experience in building similar packages. I am very well versed with Python machine learning library Scikit-Learn as well as computational packages Numpy and Scipy.
