We are looking for a skilled designer or architect to sketch a small rock climbing gym in Rural Thailand. The gym should be open-air and suitable for year-round use in all four seasons. Size: The desired size of the gym is small, under 500 square meters. Material: The gym should be constructed using steel and concrete. Climbing Environment: The gym should primarily offer a bouldering environment for climbers, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. The facility is in rural Thailand, designed to be an open air flow / not air conditioned facility - natural venting is important as the climate is hot and humid Goal is low cost facility to introduce climbing as a new and upcoming sport to local youths, membership cost will be intentionally low with sponsorship for underprivileged youth. Long term goal is to add top rope and speed wall but that will be another phase, room is sufficient but funds are not. This is a developmental effort to help bring the benefits of climbing ( Focus, Problem solving, Physical Strength, execution and satisfaction of personal development through sports) to kids that have a limited number of activities. Small fitness area for strength training M/F Changing rooms / Showers Parcel is 28M X 13M Ideal Skills and Experience: - Experience in designing and sketching rock climbing gyms - Knowledge of construction using steel and concrete - Familiarity with designing open-air structures suitable for all four seasons - Understanding of the specific requirements for a bouldering gym If you have the necessary skills and experience, please submit your portfolio or previous work samples for review. We are not looking for engineered drawings at this time, just visual comps. Pictures attached We are looking forward to hearing from interested parties and evaluating their direction and and prior work. This is for the sketching and thinking component of the project.
