I need help with REST API of Magento 2.1.6. I cannot find out how to programmatically populate a drop down attribute. I am working on a Magento 2.1.6 web site and I would like to programmatically add a list of brands to my shop. I have tried in many ways but I always get errors with REST calls. I have added a Product Attribute of dropdown type and I have findout that probably the right REST API call is /rest/default/V1/products/attributes/{attributeId}/options passing a json like this: {"option":{"label":"Brand","value":"8"}}, but I get an error: "Cannot save attribute". I am using C# as programming language and I created other functionality to update catalog and product images. I am good at programming, I only need to find out the correct way to use the REST API to accomplish this update.
