Need a fantastic Linux sysadmin to assist in setting up a software-based LVS web cluster. We need something along the lines of what is described at [login to view URL] using DR (direct response) across three(3) CentOS 4.4 servers. LVS ldirectord will use heartbeat and run on two primary servers and load balance 3-4 http and https websites.
Those who have experience setting up a stable production Ultramonkey or LVS high availability/load balancing cluster will be preferred for this short term assignment. Please describe previous projects related to high availability load balancing using LVS.
If selected for this project you will need to ...
1) Install software and configure it based on specs provided by us (via SSH/root access) for high availability load balancing
2) Perform full testing on the cluster to guarantee that node failure will not bring the cluster down (no single point of failure)
3) Provide training to our IT staff on how to manage cluster (add/remove nodes, add/remove load balanced services, etc)
3) Be available for up to three months for emergency (or standard) consulting should the cluster fail at any time, or should we need to make changes (rate & terms negotiable).
