WooCommerce Modifications (Product Variations and Shipping Restrictions)

I have a WooCommerce website, with the Storefront theme, that is in the initial stages. I am looking to find someone to help me complete the store, both in terms of design and functionality. I have made a few modifications to this non-live store. However, I find that I’m not using my time productively in trying to find solutions and implementing changes. It would be better if I recruited the services of a WooCommerce/WordPress expert. So, in that regard, this project is to find a knowledgeable candidate. Should this project go well, I have other projects involving the website. PRODUCT OPTIONS/VARIATIONS Options/variations involve the customer-supplied choices for products that are personalized (engraved). Most of the products have options/variations. However, the types of options/variations are not the same for all products. The most common options/variations are: 1. Size – The price will vary depending upon the size selected. 2. Image – The customer has the option of selecting an image (name) from a drop down list. (The actual images are displayed elsewhere for the customer’s reference.) For some of the image options, there is no additional charge. However, for other image options, there is an additional charge. All designated images are available for all sizes of a given product. 3. Font Style – The customer has the option to select font style from drop down list. There is no additional charge for the font style. All designated font styles are available for all sizes of a given product. 4. Text Field(s) – The number of text fields can vary depending upon the product and size. The maximum number of characters needs to be controlled for each text box. (For example, some products have available 3 lines for engraving with a maximum of 18 characters per line. Other product may have one line of engraving with a maximum of 22 characters.) Ideally, the number of text fields can be controlled by the product size. I have experimented with the attributes and variations in WooCommerce, as well as installed a plug-in for text fields. However, I need an expert to set up the proper way to create and manage options/variations and have them properly displayed. The inputs from the options/variations need to be displayed on the Cart and Checkout pages, as well as appear in the order acknowledgement emails. The variations inputs should be required. The product is not to be added to cart without the options being selected. There should be an alert message indicating that the options need to be selected. EXCLUDING SHIPPING TO AK and HI Although the store is set to ship only within the United States, it needs to further exclude shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. If the either Alaska or Hawaii is selected in Checkout, there is to be an alert notice explaining that orders cannot be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii. The process for managing the variations and the shipping exclusion to AK and HI needs to remain intact with future WordPress and WooCommerce updates. ----------------------------------- Are you a WooCommerce expert that can easily handle this assignment, as well as future similar projects?
