I have a house design (in Revit). I also have some photos of a staircase concept that I would like to use in the house. I need a talented 3D designer to draw a staircase, based on the inspiration / concept and so it will fit into the staircase area of the house. Then I will import the 3D DWG into Revit. I would like a few scripts/macros that streamline and improve workflow in Autodesk Revit. I worked with Revit many years ago and just started to adopt it recently. After working with a dozen CAD and BIM software, I have seen a variety of workflow methods. I would simply like the ability to measure distance in Revit as AutoCad functions: <Command>, pick two points and have a read out for x, y, and z. The current method seem very cumbersome with the need for drawing dimensions and then only getting one distance and then needing to delete the dimension. It reminds me of older guys starting to work with AutoCad and dimensioning things when they only needed a distance. I have existing revit files that will only render in white. I need them to render in 12 standard colors.
I used Grasshopper and baked few layers into Rhino- elevator, faced and construction. In order to load the building to Revit I uploaded the different layers, as masses (families), each layer apart. The problem is that it seems like the shape of the building make it hard for Revit to allow me to make glass facades for example (it seems like layer on layer), same as to define walls. Maybe there’s other way to transform the building into Revit, but I couldn’t succeed. Also I would prefer to upload the whole building and not three times (divided to different layers), but still, I want Revit to ‘realise’ the three layers, so that I can control each of them (not as one mass). Can you help me to solve that?

We have a large project that requires several small buildings on site. Many of the buildings are to be designed out of custom made shipping containers with precast concrete panels that form the roof structure. For this smaller job howedver, we would like to trial a designer by offering a few small buildings that are NOT made out of the shipping containers, and without the precast concrete roof, instead these buildings will have a metal roof. The buildings we are asking you to work on are numbererd on site plan as 07, 08, 09 and 10. See the file called "Overall project details".
