I love OSX. It is my favorite operating system ever. I do however need to perform pen-testing (security) scanning and probing do to my job. I absolutely hate having to switch over from OSX to Kali to be able to use the tools that come with it preloaded. You might want to look into Kali Linux distro and check out all the tools it brings with it. Here's the thing, I know OSX is built off UNIX. I know almost all of these tools can be installed on OSX if you really put the energy into it. It just requires some manual downloading of files and moving them around to the proper places. We have a MySQL connection that requires an SSL connection. We have a PHP app that uses mysqli to connect to the MySQL database. The problem I have is that I am unable to figure out how to alter the file for my php application to enable the cleartext plugin. It should be as easy as adding the following to the file: [client] enable-cleartext-plugin I'm not a unix or admin sort of guy, but I need help getting this to work.
