Hi there - I'm looking for a high-caliber pro with a proven track record to take a few minutes out of their day to assess my startup company's inbox support woes and give us effective strategies for handling, categorizing and delivering top-quality support. I know there are tools out there - I need the STRATEGIES so we can run this on autopilot (without losing the human touch). We only receive a few emails per day, in a few different categories - but they've created a backlog that is going to take a bulldozer to clean up. To avoid that from happening again, I want to implement an effective STRATEGY for handling support -- smart, effective ways to systematize the process in a way that still feels human, using of course a tool like Zendesk et al. The goals I'm solving are here: 1) Respond to customers within 24 hours 2) Respond in a way that is customized to them, and makes them feel heard 3) Quickly categorize these emails based on type and priority 4) Your email should start with the name of the artist who wrote the hit, 'Thriller' in it - otherwise, you didn't read this part and I don't want to work with you. :( I've played around with tools such as FreshDesk, Zendesk, and others -- and they all fail simply because I haven't upgraded my mind to that of a Customer Support director. So, I'm hoping YOU will hop in and briefly play that role for me -- and make some cash in the process! Do you have the right experience and advice for us? Can you solve this problem?

MICHAEL JACKSON! Hi There! I'm Tom. My profile largely talks about systems administration and other technical things. What it doesn't talk about it my vast experience in project management and handling user requests. As a systems administrator, my role was to sort through countless user requests, prioritise, delegate and respond in a timely fashion. I dedicated an awful lot of time into working out how to do that. These days, I'm less interested in technical work and do it because it makes good money. I'm really interested, however, in helping solve problems. I work using a concept called human based design. This means that rather than walking in with a solution to all of your problems, I'll work with you and talk to you to determine exactly what the core problems are, and approach a solution with an open mind. On a less theoretical level, I've experimented with various support tools in the past and have a general knowledge of what can be expected from each of them. Let's talk about the real question, why me? I feel that a good consulting relationship is based on communication and mutual understanding. I've a few other bids on here that I've placed because they looked okay. From your description, I feel we share some core values surrounding support and service, and I'd be excited to work with you.
