Moodle System Admin, (must be based in South Africa, ideally Gauteng)

We are looking for someone with some IT admin experience and preferably some Moodle experience to assist us to administer our Moodle Learning Management System. This will be the main focus of the job but it will also include assisting with related systems such as the website, office systems and even the accounting systems. Managing Moodle LMS The Moodle LMS serves both students, exam takers and members. It runs alongside membership, student and a Sage Evolution accounting system with some integration. • Manage Moodle system with 5000 users. • Load courses and coursework • Manage online proctoring • Check moderation • Import and export student records • Answer queries related to Moodle, • Manage online purchases for webinars • Upload assignments and course material into topics in each course • Upload exam papers • During exam week must be fully available to open and close exams, last minute enrolments, grant extra time (overrides) etc. • Manage security around the concurrent running of multiple live exams • Facilitate online and offline marking of both assignments and examinations • Train examiners, moderators and staff to use Moodle for marking and moderation of assignments and examinations • Attend meetings • Facilitate upgrades • Manage plugins Turnitin administration Turnitin is used to check plagiarism in exams and assignments. It will hopefully also be used to check for AI generated texts. It is integrated with Moodle. • Manage Turnitin online portal • Upload exams and other files n request • Liaise with Turnitin • Upload and download reports • Assist examiners and markers with Turnitin reports Teamwork case management system administrator Teamwork is used to report and keep track of IT issues, requests and bugs reported.
